Miyoshi is a Korean-style beauty salon with a Korean majority of the personnel. You have the option of selecting the hairstylist you want when making your appointment. I went ahead and scheduled my haircut with Mario after Shinae recommended him.
Mario is Korean (his English name is Mario), and he has previously worked in Australia and China, therefore he is fluent in the English language. I informed him I wanted the new Korean layer cut, and I showed him a photo of Shinae to make sure we were on the same page. To give some brightness and vibrancy to my hair, we went with mid-length layers and a tapered cut. We could go even further down that line the following time if I was happy with that style, he continued.
It took around 45 minutes to complete everything, including the complimentary hair wash. Most hairdressers in Dubai offer hair wash, but this is not often the case in Denmark, therefore I want to make it clear to my Danish readers that the 100 AED I spent for the haircut included wash, making it extremely affordable compared to haircuts in Denmark.
The haircut is low-maintenance, which is crucial to me since if I have to spend too much time blow drying and styling my hair in the morning, I'll just put it in a ponytail. Because the cut has natural volume and lightness, I can just roll out of bed, brush my hair, and set it with a little setting spray, and I'm ready to go.
